The Trustees wish thank all our supporters who have contributed so generously to date to enable the construction of Phase 1 of our refurbishment work. We are continuing to raise funds towards the complete renovation of the Village Hall.
Ottershaw Village Hall is very important as a focus for community activity in Ottershaw. The day to day running of the hall is completely financed from the hire charges made to users. All donations, grants and money raised from fundraising events are held in a separate account and is used solely for improvements to the Hall. In addition, because the Village Hall is a registered Charity, any donations can also be gift aided allowing the Charity to claim an additional 25% from the Government.
The Trustees would be very pleased to hear from any organisation able to support this venture through their own corporate community action scheme.
Existing fundraising initiatives and ongoing events include the following:-
-
Donations. Donors are encouraged to consider Gift Aiding their donations to allow the Trustees to claim gift aid tax. The names of all public donations and supporters will be recorded on acknowledgement boards within the Village Hall..
-
