The Trustees are grateful to all supporters who contributed so generously to enable the refurbishment of the Hall.

Support in 2008 from the Parochial Church Council of Christ Church Ottershaw enabled the Hall to continue functioning during the transition from PCC management to management by the new charity. The Trustees were fortunate to receive generous grant support from Runnymede Borough Council and Surrey County Council at the start of the refurbishment project and further substantial support from Biffa and Cemex under the Landfill tax rebating arrangements. Throughout the course of the refurbishment, continuing support was received from many personal donors, Surrey County Council and Chertsey Combined Charity.

Ottershaw Village Hall is very important as a focus for community activity in Ottershaw. The day to day running of the Hall, its maintenance, and the necessary replacement of equipment from time to time, is financed from the hire charges made to users. All donations, grants and money raised from fundraising events are held in a separate account and used solely for improvements to the Hall, such as the provision of the dressing room and the installation of low wattage LED lighting. 

As of 2022, with refurbishments completed, the Trustees are not planning further major fundraising activities although some community events will be held from time to time to maintain the Development Fund. (see Events page of this website or the Village Notice Board). When further major developments are planned both personal and corporate support will be sought.
